Get ready to keep cycling even in winter.
We wanted to share with you our 5 tips for continuing to enjoy your Voltaire in winter, even when temperatures drop.
Our number one tip
Use both brakes
In fact, on slippery ground, dead leaves, or icy surfaces, the grip of bicycle tires decreases, just like in a car. It is therefore necessary to brake carefully and control your speed. Use both brakes.
Our tip #2
Light in the basket
To avoid jolts and loss of balance, do not overload the bike basket. This shifts the bike's center of gravity and the bike's position is no longer 100% suitable.
More weight forward in gray weather means running the risk of slipping endlessly.
Our tip #3
Appropriate clothing
Staying dry and warm will allow you to cycle for longer. That's why we recommend wearing rain capes or suitable coats that won't get caught in the chainring.
Our tip #4
It will fit like a glove.
Our bikes have been designed with attention to the smallest details, with contrasting stitching on the handles and hand rests to ensure optimal riding comfort.
When temperatures drop, driving comfort also requires good protection for your hands. So remember to wear gloves!
Our tip #5
Wear a helmet
Bad for drying but effective in protecting you. The helmet will be your best ally against falls (temperatures) but also against rain. It is not mandatory for adults who ride bicycles but is still recommended.
