Installing the luggage rack

Below you will find the instructions necessary to install the Voltaire roof rack.
These instructions are also available in the information sheet provided with the roof rack.

Below are the instructions available for download. An explanatory video is available at the end of this article and also on our YouTube channel.

Make sure that all parts are included in the box and that you have prepared all the tools necessary for assembly.

Before assembly

Before mounting the rack, check its compatibility with your bike.

The rack is only compatible with 26" wheels, approved for supporting child seats or animals, and can support a maximum load of 27 kg. We recommend checking that the bicycle frame has the necessary threaded studs for mounting the rack, that they are spaced 155 mm to 165 mm apart, and that the bicycle is sturdy enough to support a load at the rear.

Any modification to the luggage rack is strictly prohibited by the manufacturer as it could pose a risk to the user and other users. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any damage resulting from such modification. During use, it is important not to exceed the maximum load capacity and to carry bags or luggage only on the luggage rack. If a child seat is attached, carefully read the instructions for use of the baby carrier and check that no rings can get caught in the wheel.

Finally, check that the reflectors and lights are visible and not covered by the rack or its load. The Voltaire rack is designed for mounting on city or hybrid bikes.
