Excellent news for our cycling friends in Nantes!
The "Grandes voies vélo" project, underway since 2021, aims to make everyday life easier for cyclists and to ease traffic congestion within the city of Nantes. The metropolis recently announced the final layout of the 220 kilometers of bike paths that will link it to neighboring communes. These will be operational by 2026.
Afin de garantir une expérience optimale, un système de signalisation complet a été élaboré. Nicolas Martin, vice-président en charge de la mobilité douce, annonce que des ronds points, des stations, des vélo-routes, et bien d’autres aménagements encore, ont été conçus dans le but d’assurer une circulation fluide et agréable pour les cyclistes.
Starting in September, two sections will be put to the test. Users will be strongly encouraged to share their opinions via the Naolib application.
