Can the bike carry a luggage carrier / child seat?

Yes, of course.
We suggest two luggage carriers:

Does the bike fits all height?

Voltaire is a one-size bike.

With an adjustable saddle, our bike fits for riders from 155 cm to 185 cm or smaller, you can appreciate it. But we recommend you to try the bike!

For which weight?

Our bike is approved for 120 kilos, including 10kg in the basket.

How many speeds?

One mechanical speed and two levels of electrical assistance!

With one mechanical speed, we were able to replace the greasy chain with a clean belt. Say goodbye to the chain that derails!

What are the homologation standards for the bike ?

It is approved to EN-15194, the European standard for electric bicycles.

The battery is EN-62133 approved by SGS, one of the world leaders in certification. They have destroyed 36 batteries to get to this point. You can ride your bike with peace of mind!

What about the bike autonomy?

Between 50 and 80 kilometers, depending on many factors (level of electric assistance, weight, slope, wind, strength of your pedalling, temperature, etc.).

Can we buy a second battery in order to have more autonomy?

Yes. When the orders are open, you will be able to buy a second battery as well as a second battery charger.

Application

Does the app fit all mobiles?

We developed the app for Android and iOS (Apple) operating systems. 99.9% of the phones on the market are therefore compatible.

Do I need to use the app while riding my bike?

No, we didn’t want you to be dependent on your phone. Therefore, we developed a system that allows you to use your bike thanks to an NFC tag. It’s the same system than contactless payment: reliable, secure and robust.

What are the app features?

Thanks to the app, you can:

  • Unlock and switch on your bike
  • Adjust the lighting intensity
  • Choose the engine assistance level
  • Get statistics on your trips
  • Add NFC tags to unlock your bike

What does the warranty cover?

We developed a highly sophisticated security system to minimize the risk of theft. Unfortunately the system cannot prevent all attempts, so we also sell an optional insurance.

Payment and shipping

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments by credit card, 100% secure, with 3D Secure.

When and how will be the bike delivered?

The Voltaire will be delivered to the location of your choice, fully assembled. All you have to do is just to turn it on!

How much is the delivery fee? Where do you do deliveries?

Shipment is free in metropolitan France. For delivery elsewhere, contact us at salut@voltaire.bike to find out how much it costs.

What should I do if the delivered bike is damaged ?

Just contact us at salut@voltaire.bike and we’ll find a solution. We won’t let you begin your Voltaire adventure with a damaged bike!

If I change my mind, what should I do?

No worries! You have 30 days to let us know you changed your mind. Then you will have 14 days to return the bike.

Quel est le process en cas de problème technique ?

For routine maintenance, we have set up a partnership with Cyclofix, which does home repairs in the 8 largest French cities. If you're feeling up to it, we'll put together a comprehensive manual, allowing you to sort out most of the hassles that could happen to you, from a small flat tire to realigning your handlebars. For the biggest breakages, we will intervene.

Where can I purchase spare parts?

Most of the spare parts of our Voltaire can be found in stores. But for more specific parts that we have developed internally, we have the necessary stock.

What warranty do you offer?

Voltaire is under warranty for 2 years.
